Candlestick
Emporium Juliumfrom
£30.00
Description
Wheel-thrown ceramic candlesticks in three sizes, composed of recycled clay and sand collected from some of Scotland’s more remote beaches. Maker-gatherer Julija Pustovrh studied landscape architecture before turning her hands to clay. Her practice examines our relationship to land composition and landscape, memory and time. It’s no surprise that her candlesticks have an earthy tactility. They conjure up the sensation of being on a wet beach with the rain on your face and some sand in your sandwiches.
Small: Height 10cm, diameter 9cm.
Medium: Height 15cm, diameter 9cm.
Large: Height 20cm, diameter 9cm.
