Wild Clay Dish

Ingot Objects

£70.00

Description

These dishes are thrown using wild clay, which gives them their highly textured tactility. They are great characters, with a pleasing degree of wonk in place of perfect symmetry. Hand and kiln are comfortingly evident. Their personality is further revealed on picking them up and discovering the contrast between the glassy, lichen ash glaze surface and the rougher, earthy exposed underside. They make wonderful serving dishes for lunches and dinners.

Given the nature of the hand-thrown process, the material and the glaze, these pieces will all be slightly individual.
