Inspired by Polish bread baskets or Tatza, Rachel Bower’s platters are made from willow she has harvested and dried with varying degrees of sunlight to achieve a variety of different shades. As with their Polish relatives, they can be used for bread, or fruit or Tunnocks teacakes. Though Rachel likes her work to be considered un-precious and functional, these would also make beautiful wall-hung pieces when not in use.
