Two wood-fired stoneware vessels, finished with woven willow. These are the fruits of a collaborative exploration between willow weaver Rachel Bower and ceramicist Maria Nordgren. The rough earthiness of the stoneware bases creates a fascinating contrast with the tactile textures of the woven willow and willow bark – an ingenious feat of skill and imagination that results in sculptural forms of particular intrigue.
