Forged and handmade by Jake Clelland of Skye Knives in his workshop in Orbost on the Isle of Skye, this Sgian Dubh has a 4-inch single-edged blade made from 105 high carbon tool steel, clay hardened, polished and etched to show a hamon. The handle is burr elm, hand-carved with three bands of three lace ‘Dirk Knot’ Celtic knotwork. The scabbard is also hand-carved elm, lined with felt and set with a bog oak cartouche. Two piece mounts in hand-forged and brazed copper; the top mount is set with a cabochon of polished bog oak.
