Black Platter

Ingot Objects

£200.00

Description

Ethereal platters, thrown and turned, with an iron-rich clay body, subtly embellished with iron resist circles in a ghostly pink. They are unglazed, which give them a wonderful, tactile roughness. We enjoy their blistery surface texture, which has a primal, mineral quality. Despite their appearance, they are fully vitrified and non-porous, and are practical for food serving and washing, though Jonathan recommends sticking to drier rather than wetter contents.

Between 37 and 39cm in diameter.
