Milking stools
Jonnie Crawford£295.00
Description
A small-batch run of traditionally constructed three-legged stools. In the spirit of traditional chair-making, the stools make use of a mix of locally harvested hardwoods. The through tenons are wedged with bog oak: timber ploughed up in a field in Lancashire (where Jonnie used to work), and radio carbon dated to 3,650 years old. An incidental fact really; in craft terms, the bog oak is hard and naturally black, so provides a functional and visually striking detail.
Height 40.5cm, width 49cm, depth 34cm.
