Split Beakers

Morven Mulgrew

£24.00

Description

We continue to be delighted and fascinated by Morven Mulgrew’s expressive experiments with clay. Her Split Beakers are hand thrown from reclaimed clay, with facets then sliced off the bottom, and glazed with a different iron-rich glazes on each half. In Morven’s words: “I’m interested in exploring the character of iron as an abundant universal element.” Beyond their joyful charisma, the robustness of the beakers’ form and process allows Morven to make them at speed, therefore enabling them to be accessibly priced. She is a system hacker as much as a craft practitioner.
