Description

The expressive mind and hands of Morven Mulgrew have delivered this trio of ceramic forms, titled: Weathered Bronzes (from the Garden Centre). The hand-built crank stoneware pots have a wonderful heft to them. A generous copper rich glaze, with pink stain peeking through underneath, gives the Verdigris weathering effect of their title. They hold space beautifully by themselves as individual curiosities, or they make an exuberant family of otherworldly three-legged creatures. Morven explains: “They are designed to stack in the loosest sense, and to hold flowers in the Ikebana style, using a flower frog. Or whatever you wish them for!”
