Bog Oak Doorstops

Oisín Gallagher (Studio Settle)

£65.00

Description

Bog Oak, as the name suggests, is oak wood preserved over millennia in bogs until it becomes semi-fossilised. Oisín’s doorstops are made from material carbon dated to 3300BC, sourced from the East Anglian Fens. There’s a certain audacity in using such a noble material for the humble task of holding doors ajar, but such is the wonder of craft to elevate even the most humdrum of domestic acts. Each is slightly different in size - so the below measurements are to be treated as approximations.

Height 2.5cm
Width 12cm
Depth 4.5cm
