Description

Oliver’s material adventures have taken him to the North Coast mountains for his latest collection. The result is a series of platters and dishes, made from polishing shallow voids in shards of Moine Mylonite rock. ‘The contrast between the polished and natural surfaces feels wonderful in the hands,’ says Oliver. We agree – they have a self-evidently monolithic quality as centrepieces or vide poches. They feel almost too sacred to empty your pockets into at the end of the day, but they are made from mountains so can withstand a coin or key toss.
