Description

Wobbly Digital is the studio name of South Korean, Glasgow-based artist Soorin Shin. Her modest studio space belies the ingenuity of the objects that she creates. Sitting among a clutch of 3D printers (each named after potatoes), Soorin carefully plans, designs, prints and constructs totemic artworks from recycled and bio plastics in extraordinarily vivid hues. The Moon & the Toad is derived from Korean myth and legend. For Soorin, its symbolises an ongoing fascination with our symbiotic, creative and destructive relationship between humanity, animal and planetary systems of existence.

The Toad’s partner totem, The Sun & the Three-legged Crow, can also be found at Bard.

87cm high, 38cm wide, 20cm deep.
