Sculpted from a branch torn from a beech tree during Storm Arwen in Aberdeenshire, the piece carries within it the force of the storm itself. The riven surfaces still bear the violence of that moment — fibres wrenched apart, grain exposed, the wood split open by wind and weight. Rather than conceal these ruptures, the work allows them to speak, holding the memory of the tree’s breaking in its final form.
