Description

“Take a picture; it’ll last longer,” they said. “Send a postcard; show someone you love them,” they also said. We say go the full hog and bring the stellar mind, hands and machine of Laura Lees into the mix and commission a freehand machine-embroidered picture postcard. The result will last far longer than a photograph, and show someone your love has no limits.

In our times of ever-greater virtual descent, we applaud such skilled defiance and tenacity. Laura’s postcards are embroidered works of art; soft rectangles of wit and whimsy and wonder. We have a selection of iconic Scottish buildings, immortalised by Laura in embroidered postcard form. These include: Edinburgh’s Royal Commonwealth Pool; Dounreay Power Station; the V&A Dundee; and The Scottish Widows HQ in Edinburgh.

Approximately 18cm wide, 11.5cm high.
Laura is available for commission. Enquire further within. hello@bard-scotland.com
