A Tale of Three Cities - Embroidered Pin Board
Laura Lees£5,760.00
Description
“A Tale of Three Cities charts my love affair with three cities that have shaped me: Edinburgh, Dundee and London. My pin board brings together postcards and precious ephemera, embroidered and appliquéd, and then layered for display. We grew up with cork boards in our bedrooms and mine has stayed with me on my travels through adulthood – a companion and reminder of things that mean something. It’s all about context and juxtaposition. I love that you might have a Fritillaria watercolour by Charles Rennie Mackintosh next to a photo of Captain Beefheart.”
